Going to see it come the end of march.
Maybe inviting dubs to see it (and they will thinking they get to mock another religion) will wake them up a little.
i went and saw the book of mormon when i was in nyc last week.
it was superb.
so many great songs and so, so funny.

i don't know why, but it took me up until a few hours ago to read her story at http://www.watchtowerdocuments.com/ and it opened my eyes more than i'd have thought possible.
having researched the real truth over the past 3 years or so, i felt my disgust was complete, but i was wrong!
i used to think that bethelites had it made, being in amongst like-minded brothers and sisters every day, but it appears their little 'spiritual paradise' is just a facade.

Almost spit water on my screen. This is THE EXACT REASON I wanted to go to Bethel. Than I arrived and met rodney the bethel elder assigned to me and his belly.

So conventions still 3 days but now are held at the assembly halls?
several years ago, whenever i got a talk slip i would get really nervous but accept it and work on it almost immediately.
of course that was way back when i still believed it all.. now they gave me a #3 talk out of the blue about a month ago and i had forgotten all about it till the meeting night.
i really thought about not showing up at all but at the last minute, i decided to go.. so when i got there the meeting had already started and so i just stayed in the back looked at the info, found 2 scriptures and then without any notes i went up and gave the stupid talk!.
I was like blondie took no time for me to get/develope a talk. I 've gotten 45 minute outlines together in 5 minutes.
One of my roomates at bethel used to get mad at me because he would bust his ass in the library studying and doing research for a service meeting part and I would get out a public talk the morning I was spose to give it simply by listening to george krantz din da da.
i just wanna post post this.
to all congregations.
re: thirty-hour quota for auxiliary pioneering.
Damn, that reeks of a Going Out of Business sale!
YEP!
Funny Moshe
i was recently talking to a friend that's a former jw, and she argued that there are just as many women that live at bethel as there are men.
admittedly, we're both slightly ignorant on the subject, since neither of us have actually lived at or even visited bethel.
i've made the assumption that there are significantly more men than women at bethel, am i correct?.
There are more men at bethel than women! (at least as of 96 when I left)
Back then the big way for women to get into bethel was to work as commuters (hold a job and pioneer while commuting to bethel as a voulunteer.)

On # 1 I have heard of 'brother' who gave up their military retirements to get baptized. Ironically I thought it dumb even as a lad to give up a pension when you are just a couple of years from retiring/collecting it.
This was mainly back in the late 70's early 80's.
i want a shirt that reflects the spirit of the upcoming celebration of 2014. i know two annointed members saying "everything alway's happens in the fall, we need to look at the fall of 2013".
why do ancient dubs think the fall is a special time of bible prophecy.
the fall of 1913 was the example used by one annointed.
I plan On going on a cruise in Oct 2014 to celebrate 100 years of christ invisible and highly INEFFECTIVE rule!
Who wants to join me?
great time of year for us football fans !
so let's have your picks !
now that we know it will be baltimore ravens vs. new england patriots in the afc championship and atlanta falcons vs. san fransisco 49ers in the nfc championship - what do you think ?
SF and NE
NE WINS!!!
There will be irony over him tieing Joe montana against Joe's old team.
a few months ago, one of my best friends from uni times told me that his girlfriend of something like 20 years was leaving him.
she can't live with a non-believer...she wants to be a baptised jw.. i couldn't believe this crap is happening again.
turns out she grew up in a jw family, but parents separated when she was about 8 years or so.
That programing is strong.
I was going to make a similar post I just found out a guy I grew up with and who for most of his adult life was either DF'd or just plain not going has returned to the hall and is giving talks.
This guy was not even able to attend his own fathers funneral but now he is all in on jahs earthly chariot.
